Caravan Health Ventures stands as your premier early stage healthcare investment partner with a Texas focus. We distinguish ourselves by prioritizing exceptional founding teams with deep expertise and a clear sense of purpose. Additionally, we leverage the unique advantage of having Fund General Partners who are leaders in both clinical and business/strategy aspects of healthcare. Co-founded by Zain Kazmi and Dr. Jawad Ali, Caravan Health Ventures aims to capitalize on a distinctive combination of expertise, network, and access.

Zain brings over 15 years of experience from undertaking substantial consulting projects with the largest health systems and payers in the country. Furthermore, he leads digital health and strategy for one of the largest US public health systems. With a track record of over 50 angel investments, Zain has developed a robust system for assessing companies and founders. Meanwhile, Jawad's surgical practice keeps him on the frontlines of care delivery. Bringing over 10 years of advisory experience and close collaboration with early-stage companies. Leading Austin MedTech Connect, he naturally attracts healthcare founders and other relevant stakeholders. The combined network of Zain and Jawad spans from hospital leaders capable of expediting the sales cycle, to GPs for follow-on investments, talent for building early-stage teams, and elite advisors for strategically capturing significant opportunities.

This robust network and experience allow us to successfully navigate the Texas ecosystem and accelerate the trajectory of our portfolio companies. Texas presents a distinctive prospect for investment returns, with relatively low valuations in an expansive and rapidly expanding market, encompassing 30.5 million people. It boasts a formidable economy at $3.5 trillion and is positioned as the fourth-largest hub for venture capital in the United States.

For us, it's not just about investment; it's about collaboration and a relentless focus on solving real healthcare problems. Correspondingly, we offer companies more than just financial support — we provide a genuine partnership where success is a shared journey.
