START Houston was founded in 2012 with the goal to solve density, capital and media exposure problems for tech startups in Houston. The founding team includes Gaurav Khandelwal, CEO of ChaiOne, leading enterprise focused mobile agency and Apurva Sanghavi who brings sales leadership experience in lending from companies such as Trulia.com. After hosting 24 monthly Demo Days where 96 startups pitched to investors and the community raising over $17M, we decided to partner with Presidio Venture Capital to invest in promising startups ourselves.
