Our fund in Taiwan, SparkLabs Taipei Fund I, is young but initial results beat 92% of venture capital funds in same Angel List data set (Net TVPI 2.1x, Net IRR 32%), and Korea Fund I also beats 100% of their funds (1189% ROI, 37% IRR).
Our team previously has led investments in Siri (sold to Apple), DeepMind (sold to Google for over $500M), Ping An Good Doctor ($7.45 billion IPO), Spotify (board member), Studio Ex (co-founded, sold to Disney), Hostway (co-founded, sold to a PE fund for $500M) and others.
We are now opening up some of our deal flow to a number of selected investors through AngelList. Some points about our activities with this syndicate:
1. We will be more people over concept/idea focused.
2. In the syndicate deals, we are more likely to act as Angel investors and huddle with other angels since we don't feel the need to lead.
3. Who you are is more important to us that the money, therefore you need to have a full AngelList profile so we can easier evaluate.
4. Updates might happen but don't count on it.
