I'm the Founder & CEO of Equidate.

I've been in the Bay Area for a number of years, having worked in mobile product management at Zynga, founded Hiptype (funded by Y Combinator), joined Chartboost as their second engineering hire, and worked in Google's Speech Team.

Given my background, I see a number of early-stage startups, and have a large volume of dealflow. In particular, I see a number of pre-YC companies & companies currently in YC, as well as strong dealflow through my Carnegie Mellon and Zynga networks. I advise a number of startups informally as well.

As to an investment thesis: I'm not trying to find the latest cool app or me-too company. Instead, I invest in companies that have a real business. I look for startups that leverage emerging trends and are led by technical founders.
