I am leading a syndicate on AngelList to support the next generation of startups that could improve our quality of life by building great businesses. My goal is to find and fund entrepreneurs that are striving to make the world a better place, profitably. I will syndicate investments primarily focused on the life sciences and healthcare, such as those advancing new platforms for the quantified self. Over the past decade, I have been fortunate to back numerous startups that are disrupting their space through innovation, including Counsyl, Omada Health, Sonitus Medical, dr.chrono and Avantome (acquired by Illumina). Subsequent to my initial investment, these startups went on to close substantial financings by top institutional investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, USVP, NEA, and Founders Fund, as well as strategic corporate investors such as Goldman Sachs and Novartis. As an entrepreneur and executive, I have helped start and lead several pioneering companies, including NextBio (a software 'big data' analytics leader in genomics, acquired by Illumina in 2013), GraphDive (an enterprise SaaS company acquired in 2014), and Rgenix (a biotech company developing first-in-class drugs to cure cancer).

I intend to syndicate quality deals in my areas of focus.
