Redcliffe Ventures invests in purpose-led founders who combine heart/passion and a vision with demonstrable evidence of disruptive power. We have a clear predilection for consumer businesses (direct-to-consumer), enterprise software, analytics, sustainability and future iterations of the sharing economy with the potential of becoming category-defining As part of our proprietary deal flow, we do not limit ourselves to tech start-ups and, from time to time, we share with our backers special situations in SMEs, where we see an outstanding opportunity. Some high-level filters we apply include: 1) high-caliber team with prior scale/exit experience or technical edge 2) Early traction in the form of an MVP and a burgeoning 3) attractive unit economics and scale synergies 4) compelling entry valuation ensuring superior cash-on-cash return and 5) ability to follow-on on winning companies Our deal flow is geographically mainly focused on Western Europe but we also have a fair deal of our investments in the US, where we are also located. Given our cross Atlantic culture, we are often approached by start-ups, looking to raise money as part of a flip into the US or vice versa when expanding into Europe. With our syndicate, you have no obligation to invest in every deal we bring you, however we guarantee prorate allocation every time you opt in. As often as practical, we organize calls with the management team during the roadshow period and we make it a point with our portfolio companies to report performance updates on a frequent basis (monthly or quarterly). We keep our syndicate abreast of any development and we also leverage the power of our network to help our start-ups scale and expand. Founder Biography: Henri Alexaline CFA, CMA has accumulated over 20 years’ worth of experience in finance and entrepreneurship. His first taste of angel investing goes back to the Silicon Alley in 2000 during the original Internet 1.0 bubble, which gave him ample evidence of the importance of “market timing”. He further honed his fundamental skills during 15 years spent as an analyst and fund manager in capital markets, advising, analyzing and/or investing in hundreds of private and public companies across their capital structure. In parallel, he also co-founded WashClub, which has grown into the leading operator and software provider in the vertical of on-demand laundry and dry cleaning. He also serves as acting CFO of the American Montessori Society, the global non-profit umbrella organization behind the highly-regarded education system. Surrounded by a network of industry experts (experienced VCs and angel investors) to better curate deal flow at the outset

We typically limit the deal flow to no more than ten per year, as we want to ensure VC-grade due diligence on the deals I will syndicate.
