I focus exclusively on financial technology and (closely related) business services. This focus stems from my interests and personality, but it has served me well. Specifically, it means that I often meet great businesses early on, at the introduction of other founders or vcs. It enables me to help these companies on multiple fronts, including strategy/product positioning, partnerships, and venture raises. And, while past is not necessarily prologue, it has led to very good financial returns.

My plan is to share two types of deals: 1) Early stage investments in which I'm investing personally, for the first time. 2) Later stage deals led by top investors in which I have pro rata rights by virtue of my earlier involvement. My hope is to be able to share both types of deals. But if a company will only take funds that are my personal capital, I'll still invest. And my ability to share pro rata rights varies by company.
