He has extensive experience as a venture capitalist and as an angel investor and is a vice president and on the leadership team of the Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs. Josh was part of the founding team of Dice.com (NYSE:DHX) and later served as the Vice President of Business Development for SimplyHired.com and he ran Corporate Development at Agile Software (sold to Oracle for $500M). He was a venture capitalist at Redpoint Ventures, then a Founding General Partner of New Cycle Capital. At those firms he was a seed investor at companies like OPOWER, Esurance, and award-winning IOT company, People Power. He is an early advisor to fintech companies such as Sofi, Vista Research, and Clean Power Finance, and communication applications such as Stelr. He is also an Advisor to Akkadian Ventures which has taken stakes in such leading companies as Docusign, Automatic (WordPress) and Splunk. Previously, he also worked at McKinsey & Co., Netscape, and as a Congressional Press Secretary. Currently he leads one of his Stanford Angels investments, Lex Machina. Josh runs Startup2Startup, an entrepreneur dinner/discussion group founded with Dave McClure and James Cham. He Chairs the Full Circle Fund, a coalition of technology and business leaders that collectively funds and supports leading social entrepreneurs. Josh holds a B.A. from Williams College, an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a J.D. from the Stanford Law School.
