Team

Byrne Hobart is a writer and investor. He had operational roles at tech companies, startups, and a major hedge fund. He writes The Diff, a newsletter with 50,000+ subscribers that explores the technologies, companies, and trends that are making the future high variance.

Tobias Huber is an angel investor and writer. Previously, he co-founded a quantitative research and investment firm and was advising family offices on Bitcoin and early-stage tech investments. He holds a PhD from ETH Zurich.

They are currently writing a book on technological stagnation and the nature of innovation (forthcoming with Stripe Press in 2024).
