You will gain access to some of the best deals in the US & Indian startup ecosystem as part of this syndicate.
Here is what we will invest in:
- Companies operating in large markets in which 100x+ returns are possible. Due to the current macro-timing, it only makes sense to focus on companies that are working on big ideas and transformative visions. As per the exponential growth of unicorns, these companies move fast, once finding product-market fit.
- Team-Market fit: Timing plays a large role in the success of a startup. The team that understands that market/technology the best will create the product that is most likely to fulfill it. They are most likely to find product-market fit the fastest and hence become market winners.
- Strong founder characteristics: Product-market fit becomes the core reason for a startup's success. Therefore, at the earliest stage before PMF, it is crucial that the founders iterate quickly, persevere, and do not give up. Signs of grit will be highly considered.
- High-impact startups that are working on solving some of the world's biggest problems such as poverty, access to education, pollution, etc. and meet earlier requirements.
Why US investors should invest in India?
- India is poised to become a world tech superpower, due to factors such as a large population, a rich talent pool, affordable connectivity, and a dynamic IT workforce. Currently, India has over 100 unicorns, with 44 just from the year 2021. These startups are reaching the unicorn feat in an average of less than 6 years, with newer companies like Mensa Brands becoming unicorns within 6 months. There is a rapid digital growth transformation occurring within India, giving investors a massive opportunity to take advantage of a relatively nascent startup market.
- Indian founders are known to be world-class. Many of the unicorn startups in the US have founders from India, and large corporations - from Google, Microsoft, IBM to Novartis, etc. - are led by people of Indian origin.
Due to my experience working in the software scene in the US & India over the past decade (one exit and profitable consulting firm), I am able to discover promising companies and founders at the Pre-Seed to Series B stage through my network of founders and early-stage investors spread across the major hubs of US & India. Past that, my team of associates and I complete thorough diligence on every aspect of the company.
Expect detailed memos since we do not spray-and-pray.
A smaller portion of our deals may be based outside of US & India.
