Emergent Ventures (www.emergent.vc), founded in 2016, is a Silicon Valley venture firm that leads seed rounds in enterprise software companies building products in India and other emerging tech hubs. Emergent has established itself as a preferred seed investor for startups leveraging the best of Silicon Valley and India, a ‘corridor' that is seeing a rapid rise of innovative startups in the enterprise software space. Emergent invests in areas such as Enterprise Automation, Smart SaaS, Dev Tools, and Cloud Infrastructure. We invest early in high-potential entrepreneurs, lead seed and pre-seed rounds, and work closely with portfolio companies on connecting with the right resources, finding product-market fit, and developing go-to-market.
Emergent’s seasoned team of partners has a cumulative software industry experience of over 60 years including 20 years in technology venture capital across US and India, and has made over 50 investments with 13 exits and an investing track record of >25% net IRR, representing consistent top quartile performance. For investors, Emergent provides a platform that can generate outsized returns that only small, focused, early-stage VC funds can drive. In addition, Emergent offers opportunities to co-invest in startups of choice, possibilities to engage with a highly curated set of entrepreneurs, and exposure to the cutting edge of the global enterprise-tech ecosystem. In addition to reputed institutions, Emergent’s existing investors include 50+ successful founders and early employees of startups with a cumulative $40B+ in enterprise value created, and senior executives at companies such as Cisco, Facebook, Google, SAP and VMWare.
We source deals from our network. We've been in the software space for over two decades each, and VC investors for over a decade each. We expect to syndicate deals where we have excess allocation in a round over and above what our core fund can invest.
