Dope Ventures invests in founders with unique visions on how to solve problems for people. The majority of our deals will be sourced through word-of-mouth and the team’s personal network.

Dope Ventures will invest in private early-stage technology companies, primarily located in San Francisco, sourced from Y-Combinator, On Deck, and other personal connections.

Rodney started his first company (Lux Trim) at 17 in the interior design industry and grew it to $500K ARR while studying at Ivey Business School in Canada.

At 20, Rodney started Gilga Capital and invested $1M into 4 startups in Toronto, Seoul, and Singapore with B-Dash Ventures (Tokyo) and DeBlock Ventures (Seoul). In 2019, Rodney joined AngelList's Venture team, where he managed 140+ early-stage venture deals over 8 months, and later became a Fellow at On Deck (ODF4).

Rodney currently works as Operations Lead at Angle Health (YC W20) and as a scout for BBQ Capital.

In 2020, Rodney invested into mmhmm alongside Sequoia, and Ashvattha Therapeutics alongside Chamath and Jay from Social+Capital.
