I am a founder of BitGo and Beluga. I have invested in 80+ companies, including at least 2 which are currently unicorns ($1B+). I am particularly focused on Bitcoin & cryptocurrency, and have invested in 10+ startups (and founded one) in this space since 2012. I'm also interested in API-based businesses, SaaS, automation and FinTech. Or anything in which I perceive the possibility for massive asymmetric upside. I am currently actively looking for breakout companies building on Bitcoin layer 2 (Lightning network). Do not expect updates on investments, except as periodically provided by the founders.

NB: In angel investing, to be able to expect positive returns, you must take a portfolio approach. You need at least 30 early-stage investments to begin to overcome the variance inherent in this type of investment. Due to this, please size investments such that you are able to create a sufficiently diverse portfolio. All angel investments may result in total loss of capital, and that is by far the most common outcome.

Most of the deals I syndicate are from founders in my personal network.I will try to syndicate deals where the founders are comfortable with it, and where I can get at least a $200k allocation.
