I started Allied in 2020 to share my dealflow after 8 years as an angel & VC scout.
I do my best to operate with the diligence & discipline of a top-tier VC firm, yet with the flexibility of a syndicate. With each deal, I provide all of the same information I would want as an investor trying to make an informed investment decision, and I’ve been repeatedly told Allied writes “the best deal memo in the industry.”
Investment Focus:
- Geo: North America (Canada & USA)
- Stage: Seed to Series A
- Traction: post-product, post-revenue
- Team: strong team with deep domain expertise
- Industries: Infrastructure software that provides the underlying core infrastructure to enable and democratize access among large and rapidly-expanding markets (e.g., Databricks, Stripe, Canva, Zapier, Airtable, Plaid, Coinbase, Airbnb).
Verticals:

- Fintech, Blockchain, Payments
- Logistics, Analytics, Security
- Some B2C consumer: e-Commerce, Gaming, Subscriptions
We don’t invest in:
- Bio/med/healthtech, climate, cannabis, Govtech
Check size: $100k-$250k with a maximum post-money valuation of $25M
Round dynamics: we do not lead but prefer to participate alongside a notable lead VC who has set the terms.
We will invest on a SAFE, Convertible Note or Preferred Shares (not Common), and we require pro-rata on all initial investments.
