500 Startups been working with and investing in financial services companies for over a decade, and we were founders, early employees or investors in PayPal, Stripe, Mint.com, Credit Karma, Nerdwallet, Flexport, Grab, and many others. We will select & syndicate investments in 5-10 companies per year focused on financial services, investing $50k in each company, and we aim to syndicate $250K+ per deal.

Because of the volume of deals in which 500 Startups is involved (over 200 companies per year), we do not plan to syndicate all of our investments. However, we plan to select several of our top opportunities in financial services for this syndicate. We also plan to reserve at least 50% of our allocation for backers who are also investors in our funds. However, we are open to additional backers as well.
