The People’s Syndicate is a venture syndicate founded on the realization that syndicates need an update towards value-add and long-term thinking.

We believe that with properly aligned incentives, anything is possible.

Four core tenants set us apart and align incentives between GPs, LPs, Venture Partners, and Portfolio Companies.

1: LPs are our greatest asset.

A variety of incentive-aligned people are more influential than any single angel. One person can only have so many genuine connections and so much industry knowledge – but with LPs with a wide variety of skills and interests, the potential is limitless. Our LPs will be respected, communicated with, and rewarded with lower future carry for providing value to portfolio companies.

2: Portfolio companies are our biggest responsibility.

1: We will personally do everything in our power to help our portfolio companies succeed.

2: We provide incentives to LPs to help portfolio companies in any way they can: by making introductions, providing valuable time and advice, and working directly with them to accomplish their goals. In doing so, we will grow to become the highest value-add LP base in the world.

3: Venture partners should be properly compensated.

Deal Flow quality determines much of venture returns. We provide the best Venture Partner/Deal Scout program in the industry, providing up to 50% of the carry on deals.

We don’t need to make money on carry short term. We'd rather make money on the investment itself. We are here to prove that we are here for ten years from now; not just a year.

4: Skin in the game is essential.

We believe that AngelList syndicate leads should have skin in the game and personally invest in the deals they syndicate to ensure proper due diligence and aligned incentives. We will invest at least $50,000 per deal with our LPs – 50x what many syndicate leads do. This also lowers fees dramatically for syndicate investors.

Investing Thesis: We believe in investing in primarily Pre-seed and Seed deals that include:

1: Extremely strong founders

2: High signal co-investors

3: Markets that are high upside with high technological leverage

4: That we are value-add and have a competitive advantage in evaluating
