RANAngels is comprised of key members from various functions—marketing, product, growth, engineering, and operations—who have worked at Reddit, Airbnb, and Netflix. Our goal is to support ambitious entrepreneurs in launching new businesses. We prioritize funding early-stage founders affiliated with our community.
As a group investor, RAN Angels issues a single check to each portfolio company. Here's what we typically seek from early-stage companies, though we do make exceptions:
- Angel, pre-seed & seed stage rounds seek $750K - $5M
- Compelling teams with a vision for sector-defining companies
- Software companies should have pilot customers ready
- Typically a minimum cheque size of $80K
- Have a lead investor ready at the time of application
After finalizing a deal, we plan to establish a private group designed to facilitate interaction between Limited Partners (LPs) and Founders. This group will serve as a space where LPs can voluntarily provide support through advice, product feedback, networking, and more. Our main aim is to cultivate a community dedicated to nurturing startup growth.
RAN leads will always invest in each deal personally. We are not affiliated with any fund. All of the profit from the remaining carried interest held by the syndicate and syndicate leads will be donated to charitable organizations, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, MealsOnWheelsAmerica, and Best Friends Animals Society.
