Seaplane takes a concentrated approach to investing in venture capital, preferring to invest in fewer companies in order to set a high bar and better support the founders the firm does back with more time, resources, and capital.

Seaplane Ventures' deal flow comes from a variety of sources including referrals from like-minded investors, direct outbound by Seaplane to founders, and direct inbounds pitches from founders.

All on-thesis investments made by Seaplane's Managing Partner, Joe Magyer, are made through the Seaplane Venture Fund, however, the syndicate may have opportunities to invest alongside the Seaplane Venture Fund on a deal-by-deal basis.
