The lead, Alex, is a cofounder and operator of a venture-backed travel tech startup, which helps travellers deal with flight disruptions and recover money. To date, the company has successfully recovered over $16M on behalf of its customers, acquired the LA based Service and is backed by investors such as Social Capital, 500 Startups, Hustle Fund, Telegraph Hill, Good News Ventures and more.
Alex is also involved as a mentor, advisor and an EIR at a number of accelerators, programs and funds in the US, Canada and Europe, such as Techstars, Founder Institute, Startup Wise Guys, Impact, Eurostars Horizon 2020, and more.
These experiences have led him to angel investing, developing a unique investor perspective which stems out of his journey as a cofounder, an operator and an advisor.
