Backed by Blue (B3) is a FB alumni syndicate that brings together this network and experience in an effort to support the next generation of entrepreneurs on their ambitious journeys.
The companies we back not only get access to the capital the syndicate invests, but also direct access to the cross-discipline expertise and growing network that helped propel Facebook to new heights. Our members are current Facebook employees and FB alumni turned investors, entrepreneurs, and leaders at other successful companies.
We have deep expertise in engineering, ML/AI, hardware, growth, brand, partnerships, ads, data science, ecommerce, web3, international expansion, and integrity/policy.
The B3 network aims to be a force multiplier to the startups we back as we roll up our sleeves and help in any way we can. We do this by leaning on the unique and valuable expertise of our community.

The syndicate is led by current and former Facebook employees. As a community-driven syndicate, any LP (backer) has the option and access to get involved in sourcing deals, performing due diligence, advising companies, etc., and earn carry in exchange for their contribution.
While we are open to all LPs, there are some deals which will be limited to current or former Facebook employees. If you fall into this category, please submit the FB alumni form here.

VC Firms: a number of LPs, members, and leads also have close relationships to reputable firms sharing deal flow with B3. Many of these are founded by GPs who are FB alumni eager to collaborate and support our community of ex-FB founders.
- Events: B3 hosts a number of monthly events for the community, including founder networking events, pitch practice, and an educational series covering topics like angel investing 101 and deep dives into current trends in tech. Beyond the value these events provide the community, they have built a fast growing audience that continues to refer deal opportunities to B3.
