Accelerated Ventures - Community first syndicate for accelerator Alumni, LPs, and Mentors. We are the alumni syndicate for 500 Startups Alumni (founders, partners, mentors) but open to all ex-founders who have gone through accelerators.

Our edge is that we are sourcing deals from across the 500 Startups network, and founders are excited to give us allocation to get access to such a strong pool of former and current founders as part of their team. With successful entrepreneurs and investors across a wide variety of industries and regions, we can uniquely help our portfolio companies grow and expand for three reasons:

1. User Empathy - Having all done it before, we, and the LP base, knows how to speak, connect, and provide guidance in a way that portfolios execs can act on.
2. Likely Customers - Our LP base of current and former founders are an ideal customer for (most) companies we syndicate so you not only get money but also 100 likely customers.
3. Talent - Talent is a challenge we all face and we believe that the best early hires are former founders. We believe that investing in a company is the best way to get close to a company leading to 'soft' recruiting conversation. To enable this, we set up a CRM to play matchmaker.

Our opportunity assessment framework focuses on deeper signal in the founding teams and growth story

1. Team: Industry expertise, resilience, (alumni from 500 Startups/YC/Techstars/OD a +)
2. Round stage: Seed and Seed+, Round 50%+ filled, lead VC we know at the same terms (often the referrer)
3. Traction: proven revenue traction, growth rate, and unit economics for scale (our focus will be post-product, in market growing and learning)
4. Market + scalability: Clear understanding of market white-space, SAM/SOM opportunity. Founder aligned and sourcing high-run-rate businesses across sectors.
